Meet our executive team.

Patrick Dovigi

In 2007, Patrick set out to build a “one-stop shop” for environmental solutions. Drawing on the discipline of his earlier hockey career, he has driven GFL to become the fourth largest environmental services company in North America, with operational excellence, sustainability and safety as core values. He was recognized by Waste360 with a Top 40 under 40 award and as EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Ontario, Power & Utilities) in 2017, and as one of Canada's Most Admired CEOs by Waterstone Human Capital in 2022. In 2019 he contributed $5 million to help create the Dovigi Family Sports Medicine Clinic. He serves on the board of the UHN Foundation.

Luke Pelosi

Luke joined GFL in 2015 as Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, became EVP Corporate Development in 2016 and Chief Operating Officer in 2018, and was appointed CFO in October 2018. Before GFL he was a Director in KPMG's Deal Advisory group. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University.

Allen Gransch

Allen has been COO since October 2026, after joining in September 2026 with GFL's acquisition of SECURE Waste Infrastructure Corp. He brings nearly 20 years of leadership in diversified waste management, including roles at SECURE up to President and CEO, and earlier at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Mindy Gilbert

Mindy joined GFL in October 2018 after more than 16 years as a lawyer and partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg, focused on corporate and commercial law, M&A and capital markets. She oversees all legal matters, including governance, financings, M&A and litigation. She was named a 2013 Lexpert Rising Star and holds an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Joy Grahek

Joy joined GFL in 2011 as Vice-President, Legal, became General Counsel in 2014 and EVP Strategic Initiatives in 2018. She has practised law since 1983, mostly as in-house counsel in the waste sector. In 2016 she was recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women.
